Your Status

By Placing an order through our site, you warrant that:
You are legally capable of entering into binding contracts; and

Registered Users

In order to access the services provided on this website, you must become a registered user. You must complete registration by providing certain information as set out on our registration page. Please refer to our Privacy Policy linked on our home page for information relating to our collection, storage and use of the details you provide on registration.

You agree to ensure that your registration details are true and accurate at all times and you undertake to update your registration details from time to time when they change.

On registration, we provide you with a password and User Name. On registration you agree to pay for our services as set out on our website.

We reserve the right to terminate your registration at any time if you breach these terms and conditions.

Payment

Visa and MasterCard are accepted as methods of payment. Transactions are in £ Pound Sterling or € Euro or a conversion rate based on € euro in your own currency.

Pricing

All prices quoted are shown exclusive or inclusive of Vat depending on customer login. The only possible additional charge above the price quoted for the item is a carriage charge as specified below.

The Vat element of each purchase is clearly detailed at checkout and on the Portfolio Group invoice.
Please note that the suggested retail prices shown are the Portfolio Group Website prices may differ to the in-store prices of your chosen associate retailer.

Our site contains a large number of Products and it is always possible that, despite our best efforts, some of the Products listed on our site may be incorrectly priced. We will normally verify prices as part of our dispatch procedures so that, where a Product's correct price is less than our stated price, we will charge the lower amount when dispatching the Product to you. If a Product's correct price is higher than the price stated on our site, we will normally, at our discretion, either contact you for instructions before dispatching the Product, or reject your order and notify you of such rejection. We are under no obligation to provide the Product to you at the incorrect (lower) price, even after we have sent you a Dispatch Confirmation, if the pricing error is obvious and unmistakeable and could have reasonably been recognised by you as a mis-pricing.

Product Descriptions

We strive to ensure that our products are described as accurately as possible on our website, however we do not warrant that the description is accurate. Where we become aware of any misdescription, we reserve the right to correct any error or omission.
Images have been provided for illustrative purposes only and we do not guarantee that any image will reproduce in true colour nor that any given image will reflect or portray the full design or options relating to that product.

Delivery

Orders within Ireland are subject to a carriage charge unless our minimum order value is reached.
Minimum order value is £125 or €150. Orders Below these values are subject to Carriage.

Carriage Charges

Orders Under £125 / €150 charged at £8.50 / €10 per delivery.

We are very happy to deliver outside Ireland but delivery costs will be quoted upon receipt of order.

Most deliveries are done by DPD.

Unavailability

In the event that a product is unavailable for whatever reason, we will contact you to ask you whether you would like us to supply a suitable alternative product. We will not supply you with an alternative product unless we receive instruction from you that you wish us to do so. If you opt not to purchase an alternative product, we will refund the full value of the product and any applicable carriage charges

Risk & Title

The Products will be at your risk from the time of delivery. Ownership of the Products will only pass to you when we receive full payment of all sums due in respect of the Products, including delivery charges

Guarantees

Portfolio Group takes great care to ensure that all the products featured on this website are of a high quality.
As part of our commitment to quality we provide 1 year's guarantee on all electrical products on this website provided that they have been used, at all times, in the correct manner.

Returns

If an item has been incorrectly supplied, received damaged or is faulty then all you need to do is follow the Returns Procedures detailed below.

All you need to do is to contact us on 00353 (0) 1 8394919 or e-mail us at [email protected] and we will issue you with a Returns Form and Returns Code, explain our simple Returns Procedures and discuss with you the easiest and most convenient way for us to collect the item

Upon receipt of the item(s) we will refund the full value of the goods and any carriage costs within 14 days. Returns cannot be used as a reason to not pay an invoice or partial invoice.

If items are returned that are not faulty and it is a change of mind of the buyer it is at the buyers cost that returns are made. Such returns are subject to a 15% restocking charge and this is issued as a credit. This is issued subject to the product being returned in re-merchandisable quality.

Linking our website is not permitted. We reserve the right to serve you with notice if we become aware of such linking.

Import Duty

If you order Products from our site for delivery outside Ireland, they may be subject to import duties and taxes which are levied when the delivery reaches the specified destination. You will be responsible for payment of any such import duties and taxes. Please note that we have no control over these charges and cannot predict their amount. Please contact your local customs office for further information before placing your order.

Please also note that you must comply with all applicable laws and regulation for the country for which the Products are destined. We will not be liable for any breach by you of any such laws.

Written Communications.

Applicable laws require that some of the information or communications we send to you should be in writing. When using our site, you accept that communication with us will be mainly electronic. We will contact you by e-mail or provide you with information by posting notices on our website. For contractual purposes, you agree to this electronic means of communication and you acknowledge that all contracts, notices, information and other communications that we provide to you electronically comply with any legal requirements that such communications should be in writing. This condition does not affect your statutory rights.

The contract between you and us is binding on you and us and on our respective successors and assigns. Events Outside our Control

We will not be liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of, any of our obligations under a Contract that is caused by events outside our reasonable control 'Force Majeure' Event. A Force Majeure Event includes any act, event, non-happening, omission or accident beyond our reasonable control and includes in particular (without limitation) the following

Strikes, lock-outs or other industrial action

Common commotion, riot, invasion, terrorist attack or threat of terrorist attack, war (whether declared or not) or threat or preparation for war.

Fire, explosion, storm, flood, earthquake, subsidence, epidemic or other natural disaster

Impossibility of the use of railways, shipping, aircraft, motor transport or other means of public or private transport.

Impossibility of the use of public or private telecommunications networks.

The acts, decrees, legislation, regulations or restrictions of any government.

Our performance under any Contract is deemed to be suspended for the period that the Force Majeure Event continues, and we will have an extension of time for performance for the duration of that period. We will use our reasonable endeavours to bring the Force Majeure Event to a close or to find a solution by which our obligations under the Contract may be performed despite the Force Majeure Event.
